Individual applications provide students with isolated learning opportunities, but

The GoKnow! Mobile Learning Environment (MLE) lets teachers create
coordinated, curriculum-based learning opportunities. Multi-activity assignments
let students view and construct documents of many media types (text, graphical,
spreadsheet, animations, etc).
GoManage, GoKnow!'s classroom management server, solves the daunting task
of managing classrooms full of mobile devices and multiple applications.
Teachers can use GoManage to distribute and collect student assignments, send
feedback to students, install and delete applications from the mobile devices,
and automatically maintain an electronic portfolio of individual student work.

The GoKnow! MLE for Windows XP computers currently supports the following third-party applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader (PDFs), Microsoft Reader, Paint, Calculator, Inspiration, Windows Media Player, and Google Earth. If you are interested in using the GoKnow! MLE with a third-party application not listed, please contact us for availability. It is likely that the MLE can support your application.
Managing the Classroom with GoManage
Quickly, easily, and productively
When students sync their Windows XP devices using GoSync, their work is retrieved from the mobile computer and stored on the secure GoManage Server. From any networked computer, the student work is available through the GoManage website. The GoManage Server can either be hosted and maintained completely by GoKnow! or hosted on a local school or district network for improved performance with increased levels of users or where policy prevents external data storage.
